Food safety management systems - Requirements for any organization in the food chain

puce  International standard drafted by the International Organization of Normalization in 2005 and its technical amendment 2006. - The ISO 22000 (2005) specifies the requirements relative to a safety food management system for any organization in the food chain, when an organization needs to show its aptitude to control the dangers related to the safety of the foodstuffs, in order to guarantee that the foodstuff is sure at the time of its consumption.

The certification is possible for all organization in the food chain :

  • producers of feedingstuffs,
  • primary producers,
  • manufacturers of foodstuffs,
  • operators and subcontractor in charge of transport and storage,
  • food service and retail stores (as well as the organizations closely related to the sector, such as the manufacturers of equipment, materials of packing, products of cleaning, additives and ingredients).

The service providers also form part of the food chain

ECOPASS is accredited for its certification activities.

With the multilateral agreements whose COFRAC is signatory, an accreditation obtained in France is recognized in Europe and in throughout the world.
