Natural cleaning products
Ecocert propose you its "Natural cleaning products" standard.
This Standard defines a higher level of requirement for natural cleaning products, by promoting the use of natural ingredients. It can guarantee that producers implement environmentally friendly practices throughout the production line.
The standard's principles
- To protect our planet and its resources by using renewable ingredients obtained using eco-friendly methods and by banning the majority of synthetic petrochemical-based ingredients.
- To protect and inform the consumer by clearly stating the origin and quantity of the ingredients used and the presence of allergens and by recommending environmental advice and precautions for use.
- To reduce unnecessary waste and discharges by asking manufacturers to state close doses, by encouraging eco-friendly refills and by banning the use of non-recyclable plastics.
The standard requirements
- Valorisation of ingredients produced from agro-resources: designation of surface agents of vegetable origin.
- Mention of percentage of ingredients produced by organic farming (indicated by an asterisk).
- All the ingredients are listed in familiar language to facilitate understanding by the consumer.
- Conditions of use must be specified (dosage to be respected).
